This Refund Policy applies to all premium template purchases made within the NextCV – AI Resume Builder app, operated by Empire Softtech. All purchases are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's refund policies in addition to the terms described here.
01 Overview
NextCV offers premium resume templates as one-time in-app purchases through Google Play. Each template is priced individually (₹11–₹49) and unlocks permanent access on your Google Play account — no subscriptions, no recurring charges.
We are committed to your satisfaction. If a template does not meet your expectations, you have the right to request a refund through Google Play within the eligible window.
02 Eligible Products
The following purchases are eligible for a refund under this policy:
- Premium Resume Templates — any individual template purchase (e.g. ATS Minimal, Corporate Blue, Academic CV) made through Google Play
The following are not covered by this policy:
- Free templates — no payment was made
- Purchases made outside the NextCV app (e.g. unauthorised resellers)
03 Refund Window
0 – 48 Hours
Self-service refund guaranteed via Google Play. No approval needed — instant.
48 Hours – 30 Days
Contact Google Play support. Reviewed case by case — not guaranteed but frequently approved.
After 30 Days
Generally not refundable by Google Play policy. Contact our support if you have exceptional circumstances.
04 How to Request a Refund
There are two ways to request a refund:
Method 1 — Google Play Self-Service (Recommended, within 48 hours)
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
- Find the NextCV template purchase you want to refund.
- Tap the purchase, then tap "Request a refund".
- Select your reason and submit. Google will process the refund within minutes to a few hours.
Method 2 — Google Play Support (after 48 hours)
- Visit play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory.
- Find the NextCV order and tap "Report a problem".
- Submit your refund request to Google Play support for review.
Method 3 — Contact NextCV Support
If you are unable to request a refund through Google Play or need assistance, email us at support@nextcvbuilder.online with your order ID and the reason for your request. We will guide you through the process and liaise with Google Play on your behalf where possible.
05 What Happens After a Refund
Once Google Play approves and processes your refund:
- The refund amount is returned to your original payment method (typically within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank).
- Your template entitlement is automatically revoked. This happens within 24 hours of the refund being processed by Google Play.
- The template will appear as locked in the NextCV app. Any resume that used this template can no longer be exported as a PDF until you repurchase the template.
- Previously exported PDFs already saved to your device are not affected.
06 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be approved in the following situations:
- More than 48 hours have passed since purchase and no exceptional circumstances exist
- A refund was already issued for the same purchase previously
- The purchase was made on a device or account not owned by you
- The refund request does not comply with Google Play's policies
We reserve the right to suspend access to the NextCV service for accounts that abuse the refund policy (e.g. repeatedly purchasing and refunding the same template).
